Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Beth Launer grew up learning to be a survivor. She knew she wanted to be in the "spotlight" and at the age of 5 heard her first round of applause in a tap dance recital. From that moment on she did everything she could to get that applause.
A drama graduate from the High School of Performing Arts in New York City, Ms. Launer felt that being in front of people; making them laugh or smile or cry was a gift. But being an actress in an often cruel and unforgiving business was not for her, and in 1969 she turned her love of actors and keen people skills into a career as a television commercial Casting Director. In her twenty-three year career, Ms. Launer cast hundreds of commercials, both nationally and Internationally, representing products in every category from Ajax to Zenith.
In 1980 another "gift" became apparent as Ms. Launer started coaching actors on how to master the audition and feel good about themselves in the process. She found great joy in watching people grow at her suggestion. To date, thousands of actors have credited Ms. Launer for their heightened sense of self-confidence and self-esteem, and their increased financial gain.
Branching outside of "show business" as an entrepreneur, Ms. Launer teaches Business College students and other entrepreneurs various techniques for financial and personal growth.
